Blackwing Air Intakes
Is 200 bucks, plus shipping a great deal on the Blackwing Air Intake. That is for a brand new one!
Thanks,
Ed

Not bad. I'm not too sure you can beat it. I think I paid about $250.00 plus shipping for mine. :yesnod:

Check Exit 28 Motorsports - They were at $205.00 with shipping and hood seal. I think the deal goes through the end of July!
I got mine from them and I am very pleased!

Good deal but...I think Speed Demon was running a $190 special. Better check them out, Chris is great. Unbeatable deal on the Hurst too.

Thanks Navy!
We have run them at $190 before and are going to run a special in another week or so at at least $190!
Give me a ring if I can help.
Thanks,

I currently have a ZO6 airbox and K&N filter on my 02 A4 will the Blackwing make enough of a difference to justify a switch.

Out of interest, was that seat of the pants or a quantifiable improvement?

Re: Blackwing Air Intakes (AFBLU)
I replaced the 02 LS6 lid/K&N air filter with a BW. I may have in fact picked a few more ponies but none that I could feel. I did it as part of a process of "freeing" up all of the systems that cause restrictions. I have since installed Corsa Indy's and a Bassani X-pipe. My next mod is headers. I have also removed my MAF screen. When all is said and done I'll know that there probably isn't any more "free" HP to be had and I can live with that.
The truth is the LS6 lid is much better than the OEM LS1 lid and that alone probably freed most of the corralled ponies, the BW will find a few more but not many. Now replacing the highly restrictive OEM lid with a BW is another matter, you'll feel the gain.
