Brake light switch R&R
I have a 1997 A4 with 144K miles on it. I have owned it for approximately 4 months now and have used this site to help with solving several small issues. My latest fix that I want to tackle is the brake light switch. After doing some searching as to why my cruise control would disengage, I tested lifting up on the brake pedal and it worked just fine. I have located the switch under the dash but am not quite sure how to remove it. Can anyone provide any insight on this for me, I'd rather not brake anything. Thanks in advance!

I have all the info at home I can provide you if no one beats me to it. Easy to do if you are young and limber. Removing the knee bolster for access is required but that is also pretty easy.
