I have a new (to me) 1999 coupe with one TPMS (left front) that takes a while to register pressure. All other tires are displaying ok. I see Lxxx for quite a while, and it usually kicks off Serv Tire Sys message. Should I replace the TPMS sensor? Or, is this not as simple as it appears?
However, I replaced some late C5 sensors with new Schrader's (about a year old on date code) and they seem to take about 7 miles on the highway before they turn on. I don't know why it takes them this long, but I am not going to change them out.
Thanks all for responses. I am gonna get new tires soon, will probably bite the bullet and replace all 4 sensors then. Will go old school and continue to use my tire gauge. (No batteries required...)
