just had slave cylinder replaced on my C5 it was leaking car has 91,000 being it was all taken a part did new clutch too now shifter is very sloppy it does not stay lined up between 3rd and 4th when you put in neutral also feels like all the gears are more to the right now any ideals
Seems like you need to re-center the shifter and make sure all the bolts are snug.. If you have the stock shifter, you just need to loosen everything, press the neutral lock pin down, tighten it up to 22 lb ft per the service manual, then pull the neutral lock pin back up.
An aftermarket shifter will not have the neutral lock pin, you just need to use an applicable substitute (drill bit, punch, etc..)

what would cause there to be no tension in the shifter when I move it to the left in neutral and let go it just stays to the left doesn't pop back in line with 3rd and 4th gear
