Techron Full tank ??

Thinking about a little preventative medicine.

Do I have to FILL the tank before running a bottle of Techron through it..??

My car is a stock '99 a/t w/220K mi on the clock...new trans, runs real good.

It needs to be below an 1/8 of a tank so it can transfer to both tanks.

Do a search...read a post one time someone said the way the pumping works, it mixes the fuel all the time...however, I usually go in empty.

I know there is volumes written about the stuff, technical analysis etc etc..I just wanted a quick specific question answered before I get a bottle. I appreciate the quick answers very much.

For the record I don't have any symptoms, I don't know what the symptoms are actually..I do know most guys use the stuff so it must be a good thing..

Just wanted to do a small affordable project today.

I get the 20 oz bottles when Advance Auto has a Bogo deal.When tank gets about 1/4 , i dump a full bottle in at the gas pump and then fill to about 7/8 .I don't like filling tank to the brim then parking car in garage.I use a bottle in spring,mid summer and then fall.I may overdo it but with a Bogo deal it is cheap.Also run a top tier gas.
