Which catch can???
I have read through a few posts about catch cans and how it affects crankcase ventilation on FI and big cube motors. Here in the next month my car will have a 418ci LS3 installed and from what ive read, crankcase pressure will be an issue id like to address before hand. I have purchased one breather but im certain it wont be enough. I saw the thread of Elite PCV cans and the RX performance cans. From what i gather reading, one has a one ck valve and the other doesnt. But which one would i actually need? This will be N/A of course.

I was just googling and came across your thread. I am not familiar with the LS but a breather may be for fi applications. Might want to check into that before ordering. I'm stuck deciding between the Norris can and elite engineering can :/

im sure i wont be using the breather. Ill have it but i shouldnt need it. Im going to be purchasing the elite can, but im confused on what year. I have an 01ZO6 but the motor will be a 418ci LS3.

I like the elite can, it is well made and you can completely disassemble and clean it which is nice... saikoumichi also makes a nice dual can setup that I used for a few years... I would stay away from rx unless they have changed, I tried to order one of their monster cans and waited for over 2 months, they would not pick up the phone or return emails and there were some horror stories floating around about them screwing people... not sure if they are even a vendor anymore because of all of it... luckily I purchased it through a different vendor and they refunded my money... I ended up using a jegs breather can and vented it to atmosphere

I made my own setup for around $40. It's the exact same can you get if you order from Jegs and many others. I did have to make my own bracket out of a strip of aluminum... nothing cosmic though. If you're interested I can show you some pics or even lend you a hand.
I liked the Elite and Mike Norris cans when I was browsing around. They do look nice and offer ease of install etc., but I went the DIY route to save some money where I could.
Dual can that catches stuff on "both sides" of the pcv system is really more suited for FI applications IMO, I wouldn't bother. A single can in the typical location is fine.
