Skid Plate Replacement Complicated?
My plan is to not take it into a shop and do it myself….if I can.
Here is a How -To taken from the Factory Service manual

I'm trying to find out if it's as complicated as the service manual instructions make it sound. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but there are some things I can't do, mostly due to tool limitations. I wonder if I can do this replacement with the car up on Rhino Ramps, cause I don't have a lift.

If I can somehow bend the one Skid Bar out a half inch, then I won't bother replacing the whole part just yet. I just have to figure out a way to do it with my limited tools.
The biggest PIA were the nutserts, mine kept spinning on me when I tried to install them. Finally figured out a way to lock them in place and turn a nut to cinch them tight.
Time broke down something like this, (note there was not setup as the car was already on the lift with the radiator removed)
Removal -- 2 hours, worked methodically and took pictures
Install nutserts -- 45 minutes, 30 minutes to figure out how, 15 to actually get it done.
Reinstall -- 1.25 hours Blower motor tricky as you can not see the two upper bolts and need to work with your hand up in the front left side fender well. Once that is done every thing else is straight forward.
I waited till after I finished to have the three beers.
