Head Unit Install
Hope someone out there can help..
I am installing a new sound system in my 99 frc and have run into a problem.. I am trying to hook up my illumination wire and the aftermarket wiring harness is pretty much useless only thing I can use it for is my memory power.. the illumination wire is dead..so is the 12v keyed .....have heard that you can tap into the climate control illumination..I have found an illustration on the digital control..
But I have the Manual Climate Control System..does anyone have any idea what wire it is on the Manual system..or what wire I can tap into or what voltage the wire is so I can track it down...Thanx in advance.. will post pics of the system when done..

I will try to help but not at home now. The illumination of the HVAC unit is not exactly straight forward as I remember from helping a friend. The illumination is powered but also takes a BCM signal to turn it off.
If you just want to power the radio illumination when the ignition is on I have another idea but my info is at home.
