C5 to C6 Shift **** Rework Question
I recently converted from the C5 shock shifter to the GM C6 upgrade for my 2002 Convertible. Now I would like to upgrade my shift ****. However, I want a wider range of shift ***** to choose from and not have to buy adapters. I'd like to thread the shifter with a 9/16"-18 dye (I can get one for about $10), then I can just use a new threaded **** and a lock nut. This gives me a much greater selection of *****. I'd attach the boot with a steel wire as some have suggested. Has anyone tried threading their shifter? Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated?
