Was going to wait til spring, but had a mishap with a curb tonight so
I need tires right away
Have went thru 2 sets of OEM Runflats and now this
is my 2nd set of the Michelin Runflat all season.
I really like them but they are really expensive.
Don't think I have to have runflats... Also not sure if I even
need an all season tire.
I would like something with good grip and quiet highway manners.
Don't autocross or race the car either. It's a convertible cruiser, but
i like to go fast sometimes too
The cooper zeon rs3 tires are very affordable, but I have read couple
reviews that say they are a bit noisey and kinda squirrelly and like to follow any road imperfections.
Suggest Away Please
I have nitto NT555's and love them. Great grip wet or dry. Tires seem to be holding up really well. Still look brand new even after 6 months and driving everyday to work.
I currently have the Hankook EVO V12's and they seem to be a pretty good tire. Grip well and handle very well in dry conditions. Very affordable too. Ive even gotten caught in some heavy rain before and they handled great. Having said that, next set I get is going to be the Nitto NT555's. They grip so hard its unbelievable.
I went with the Hankook EVO tires as they were in stock and ready to ship
to me. I will report on how they perform here.. Prob be couple weeks as
I need to get to align shop and see what else I Fu%$ked up when hitting the curb.

you're a perfect candidate for a hankook v12
as inexpensive as they are you can replace every 4 years and spend the same as runflats every 8. this keeps the performance up and the noise down
No question the tires to get today are the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. They're the newest Michelins, much cheaper than the PS2's but supposed to be better in every way (grip, tire life, etc.). So far I've found they have great grip. They also have a good warranty, as most don't have a mileage warranty at all.
Whatever you get, ditch the run-flat type and start enjoying a much better ride with much better handling. I'm running Bridgestone RE11's, but they're definitely geared more towards track/aggressive driving. For a tire that does just about everything extremely well in a street tire, the Pilot Super Sport is where I would spend my money if I had to choose something other than RE11's.

the pss is not available for stock wheels
re11 is, or was, great tire, bit noisy for some of the old guys but stellar performers
I just this past weekend changed out a set that had over 20k on them and 13 autocrosses. I changed them because the insides of the fronts were shot due to the amount of camber I run. The backs were overdue by an autocross or two. I'm pleasantly surprised at just how well they actually do wear. I didn't think I'd see anywhere near the life out of them that I did.
I check and adjust the air pressure on them 3 or 4 times a week and really don't abuse them very much when I'm not autocrossing. A lot of really long trips on there too. I think that the constant speed of long highway miles must help considerably.
