Hello to all, I am technically stupid
here are my codes.
28 TCS no comm
B0432 HC
B2723 H
U1040 HC
99 HVAC no comm
B2182 HC
Thanks in advance.
28 TCS no comm
and
U1040 HC
This means the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) is unable to communicate via the single wire "serial bus" There could be several reasons. Would you like to try and do some diagnostics?
As for the other codes here is a list you can review. If you want to deal with anything else I would suggest doing it on one or more other Threads so as not to clutter this one up.

I'm not what you would call "handy" but I would be grateful for any help.
Any chance that it is the fuse? Don't laugh.

is it really necessary to have the abs/traction thingy hooked up?
. I had the wonderful C1214 code years ago and i took the module off and sent it off my self, covered the connections with plastic and duck tape, and drove her
. My module came back to me in a weeks time good as new.

You would be sacrificing a lot of technology, if you give up fixing the EBCM, too easily.
The TC, the ABS, and the AHS are wonderful help to keep the car straight, and between the ditches. No matter how carefuly you think you are. YouTube is full of videos, of guys whose car 'got away from them', and they probably thought they were being careful, or they thought they were better drivers able to handle all this power.

If it is just the C1214, that is one easily fixed by ABSFixer, and others, as previously mentioned.
It's easy to get the module off, just six screws after you undo the two wire connectors. I would advise you send in the EBCM, to be fixed.
Yes, you can drive the car without the tecnology (ABS, TC, AHS) helping you. It's just like old hydrolic brakes. But......
best of luck, whatever you decide,
Don
I will be sending in the ecbm.

NEVER pull on the wires, just the connector. Also make sure you first release the connector retainer that holds/keeps it in place.
Let us know if you need any more help.
