Default Ball joint question

Just wondering if anyone can help. I need to replace my front and rear ball joints on my 2003 Z06. My research says a good way to go is Moog K6537 Upper and Raybestos 5001128 lower. MY question is are the front and rear ball joints the same? I can only find listings for front.

Thanks!

They say if you ask yourself a question and answer it yourself you may be crazy. Well here goes. After further research and examination of both front and rear spindles the upper and lower ball joints for the front and rear are identical.

yes they are....I replace both upper and lower on all 4 corners on my 04.
Do yourself a favor...put your ball joints in the freezer the night before your gonna do the job. The cold will cause the metal to shrink....I know it sounds silly but it works. I used a Hydraulic Press and a ball joint press and they went in with little effort.

If your ball joints are worn it may be a good time to replace the inner/outer tie rods for the rear. 70k+ miles they are on borrowed time.

Front upper is ACDELCO Part # 45D0128
front lower is ACDELCO Part # 45D2339

Def different.

But if you are referring to front and rears they are the same.

Hope this helps

In your scenario you are using rear rotors from a Z51. Nice upgrade and get to retain the ebrake.
