i finally got my cam position sensor to read the cam.. after months of trial and error fix came down to be stupidity on my part but then again no one could figure it out either, was it has a double roller timing chain that needed to have a thrust bearing between the thrust plate and the timing chain....
now i finally get it back to the steeler(dealer) and they hook up the tech 2 and now i can't get the crank position variation relearn done!@#$%^ dealer scratches his head says sorry i don't no what to tell ya!!!
i have no codes except for 1336 and 1546 witch is a a/c clutch feedback low voltage and 645 a/c clutch
anyone have any ideas??? does the car have to have a/c in order to do a crank re-learn??? can't i just disconnect the F**** thing??? i live in upstate ny for god's sake.... and it is a convertible!@#$%
it is a 2001 with a new pcm never had the variation learned yet...
it let them try it accepted the code but then he floored it or whatever hit the 4k fuel cutoff and i guess the tech2 stopped at that point??? the dealer said that it wouldn't take?

Long shot but had a car once that would not learn and pulled the belt off and did relearn and was able to learn. Bad harmonics in one of the belt driven acc would not let vehicle learn. So can warm car up to operating temp then shut off and remove belt and then do relearn. Wish you were closer would try and do it for you.
