Default Anybody have head studs?

First, I'm curious if you were able to remove the heads with studs in a C5 engine bay without having to remove EXTRA stuff (ie, stuff you wouldnt normally have to remove if you had headbolts). Did the brake booster get in the way? Psg side firewall area get in the way? The little tiny cowl? Etc...

Second, how much were they?

I know the F-Body guys say no problem, but my mechanic freaked out at the idea. Said they weren't worth the hassle and his machine shop guy agreed. Dunno, but I sent mine back!

You could always unbolt the suspension and just drop the engine down a little to get the extra clearance if needed. The heads studs are usually about 300 bucks.

Sounds like another nice jmX writeup is in the works.
