While driving at a steady speed I've noticed that the gas peddle has slight pulsation to it .I've watched the tach and speedometer and they do not move just kinda weird wondering if anyone else has experienced this?.
Lol could be but after driving the car today I think it is bad front tires. Thanks for the replies sorry I'm a new vet owner just purchased last wednesday.
I am a new C5 Z06 owner too and I have been searching the forums because I have experienced the exact same thing. I know for me that it isn't the tires because I just replaced all four with the OEM Eagle F1 Supercar. My rpm's are constant and I don't feel the pulsating when I'm in the driveway revving the engine. This leads me to believe it has something to do with the drivetrain and not the engine. C5cats since your post was quite awhile ago, have you been able to identify the source?
I'm pretty sure I have found my issue. I have been experiencing some sort of rough pulsation but it was very hard to pinpoint. I could feel it through the gas peddle but only when I was driving and not revving the engine standing still. The faster I drive the more pronounced the feeling, especially when I take a lefthand curve but with a righthand curve it seemed to go away. I have also experinced my mpg go from around 24.5 mpg average to 18 and then recently, 9.5.
After removing the tires and spinning the wheel hub/bearing assembly and placing my hand inside the rotor I could feel that grinding/pulsation. It definately did not feel smooth. I dont know why I didn't think of this sooner because I ride mountain bikes and road bikes and I have to clean and lube the bearings every three years or so.
The other work being done is new pads and rotors for the front. The bmw dealership it came from said they replaced the front "brakes" before I bought it... Well it turns out they were right. They replaced the pads with sub-OEM spec semi metallic pads.
I have it in the shop to be fixed and will have a status report tomorrow.
Thanks and Gig'em!

P.S. Texas Aggies on to the Super Regional after beating Cal 3-1!
I pulled all four wheels but felt the most out of the front two. I would imagine that if one is going bad then the other is bad too or soon to follow. That may not always be the case but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Focus on the corner where you feel this coming from but be sure to check both.
After driving around some more I think 95%+ of the feeling is gone but I may replace the back bearings in a few months as well.
Thanks TX , like I said I have the same annoying vibration in the gas peddle and some thru the steering wheel , took it to two places and they said they could not feel anything but I don't think the knew what they were feeling for
I am going to check both of the front bearings today
