Ok, so Ive always used Competition Mode for straight line racing. I found it easier to do a burnout since the car would sometimes bog with TC off. So here I am getting ready to run the 1/2mi. I put the car in Competition Mode, do a burnout, line up and then I only go 155mph. I was expecting more. The car also didnt feel as strong and even seemed quieter. Confused I load up the laptop and prepare to data log the next run. This time I dont do a burnout, didnt seem to help with Toyo R888's anyway, and line up again. This time though I simply turned Traction Control Off. With no other changes the car went 169mph on the next pass. Data log showed everything was good and the guys even said the car sounded way louder and stronger. Was competition mode somehow still activating traction control or pulling timing killing power? Still scratching my head since that was the only variable. Dont tell me Ive been holding the car back by drag racing in Comp Mode!
You have it backwards. TC does less in competition mode. You should have got an AH or TC active message if anything was activating continually enough to cut the power like you're describing.

with Mr.Hutz..... I always 1/4 mile in competition mode, easier burn outs etc.... no difference in top speed or ET between TC off and Comp Mode btw.... but using Comp Mode saved my a$$ in the finals one night, just after dark, a turbo car lost coolant at 900', didn't know/report, I went right after him same lane, took out the 1,000' cone with my LR tire, and went through the traps sideways at 11.99!! after a close call with the concrete barrier on both sides of the track... TC off would've shut off the active handling as well as the traction control, and I wouldn't have made it... Comp Mode shuts off traction control but leaves Active Handling on...
Well then I have no idea what could've made that much of a difference. I did tape over my fog lamp openings that let air into my coolers but that wouldn't be a 15mph difference, maybe 2-3. I do get codes once in a wheel for the front right wheel sensor which I think is caused by my ss brake lines especially on full lock turns. I didn't any codes or warnings during that first run. But if active handling is on idk if i was seeing too much of a difference in wheel speed since I was having a hard time gaining traction.

Clarify, is the bolded part what you meant to say? Did you mean with TC ON it bogs? Why would it bog with TC off?
