So it seems that there is a serious lack of information on this subject and what I have gathered has been through select posts in many different threads. I think it would be beneficial for the future to hopefully consolidate the discussion.
I have seen it discussed for track use but I'm curious of its streetability. I've heard of the concerns or issues with TC/AH but some say it messes it up, some say it doesn't and some say that even if the light isn't on it can still be malfunctioning.
Is there anyone that has a square set up on the street? How is the rut running? Driving in rain? Does it even help pro long tire life?
many threads on this but personally i have run a square set up and had zero issues with traction control/abs. From what I understand the rear wheel/tire is suppose to be taller than the front or you will have issues. I never experienced this. Your tires will last longer because you will be able to rotate them and with most cars you will have a more neutral behaving car. I no longer run a square set up only because i got a good deal on a set of wheels i liked that were staggered.
I don't think the cost is worth it. I noticed a bigger difference with thicker sway bars then when i had my square set up.
Well this is reinforcing. I'd like to do 18x11 Forgestar F14s with 275s on all 4s (unless the 18x10s offer the same concavity) what do I need to do since the offset front and rear are different? Get offsets for the front and spacers in the rear?
I suppose I won't be made if I have to run a 275 front 295 rear if the nannies get upset but I'd rather rotate. The real purpose for all this is I'm OCD about the rear wheel having a better look than up front. I like the same concave on all fours, rather than flat fronts and concave rears.
If anyone else has wheel choices I don't want to spend more than 1400 for the set.
Local guy is running his 99 FRC with square 18x10.5 speedlines and 275 Rivals. He's got no issues with traction control. However, I don't think his car has Active Handling. Might help in that regard.

I can't remember if it is supposed to affect the TCS or the AHS but either way it's good to know.
Anyone know what offsets are required in the front on an 18x10? I believe the Forgestar F14's have the same concave face on the 18x10 and 18x11, and it seems the 18x11 will poke out and cause fender rub up front.
