I put C6 Z51 bars on a '99 and C6 Z06 bars on another '99. They both will bolt up fine.
To me they both felt the same (they are the same front bar). I did not push the C6 Z06 bars enough to see if it had oversteer, but that is the concern with C6 Z06 bars.
The general recommendation is based on how big your rear tires are. If bigger than about 325 tires then go with the C6 Z06 bars and if smaller go with the C6 Z51 bars. The C6 Z06 bars with smaller (under 325) tires is said to cause oversteer.
The C6 sway bar upgrade (with metal end links) is a great performance mod. It really helped on mine.
