So I did the headlight gear replacement about a year ago. Used the good kit with the bronze gear. Now it looks like the glue on one of the motor housings has failed. Any recommendations on which glue to use now? Gorilla glue, etc? Thanks in advance for advice.
Back years ago when I did mine, I had to re-glue it as the glue provided would never take hold. I removed the motor, used the Loctite epoxy below and clamped it together for 2 days. It has been holding solid since 2005.
I just used Rhino glue for the first time last week. The back glass came off on my convertible top. Amazing stuff. I fixed the whole thing in 30 mins. It sets in 60 seconds and unlike Gorilla glue it dries clear and requires no clamping other than the pressure you exert for one minute. Try it. Only glue I have ever used that does what it says it will do. Good luck.
I have been using Rhino glue for about a year. I haven't found anything that it does not work on. It is amazing stuff. Warning: Do not get it on your skin!
