Jon and others wondering your opinion on this possible rotor setup I'm not always good with the measurement part. Follow my logic here the rear wildwood aero4 http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Bra...on=C-5+%26+Z06 uses this brake hat http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/Bra...on=C-5+%26+Z06 that keeps the e-brake. When you click on the link there are rotors ends that mate up with that hat. I'm going with the SRP rotor http://www.wilwood.com/Rotors/RotorL...px?mktname=SRP Drilled Performance Rotor since that matches my front BBK. There is a rotor size on there 12.88" x 1.25" which is much closer to the stock C5 front size. With that rotor setup the only mod needed would be to grind down the bosses like you did since the width is the same (no welding of pad plates) and no need to cut down the diameter of the rotor. No other mods to the caliper or rotors should be needed. These cost a bit more than just z51 rotors but in my case would match up with my wilwood front set up. What do you guys think?

Also to stir the pot some more there is a 15" x 1.25" rotor option as well which is very close to the stock ZR1 rear rotors(I think the stock ZR1's are 2mm thicker but that shouldn't make a difference). I only bring this up because the Reman ZR1 calipers are real cheap from autozone ($150 total) http://www.autozone.com/brakes-and-t...2_5913_143586/ and are actually in stock. Im gonna post in the c6 zr1 forums for any feed back why this wouldn't work since zr1 brakes bolt on to c5 spindles.

I got the rear calipers from autozone. What rotors and brake hoses should I get to complete the kit. I am planing to run the AP 4 Pistons up front on my 99 coupe

Read this thread here one of the vendors makes a set for him I just don't remember who. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-inquiry.html

I've personally have a new plan that will be cost effective. I will reuse my c5 stock front calipers. I will then add stock c6 z51 front caliper brackets. That will push them out to accept a 13.4" rotor (stock front c6 z51 size). Then I will use stock rear c6 Z06 rotor which is also 13.4". Im not sure why anyone has not thought of this but couldn't find anything searching. I will still have to cut down the nubs and have backing plates welded. Is there anyone that will sell just the backing plates so I don't have to grind down a set of stock pads???

On autozone web site. They said this back calipers are for c6 Z06. Do they have different calipers for different years?

Here are the two links for the ZR1 rear calipers (brake code J57)

http://www.autozone.com/brakes-and-t...2_5913_143586/

http://www.autozone.com/brakes-and-t...2_2362_143586/

I tried at first for the Z06 ones but they weren't in stock. The ZR1 ones are in stock

Yes but haven't found an inexpensive rotor that will work.

I wouldn't want the carbon ceramic and the iron ones are just as expensive 3K for these http://www.supervettes.com/zr6x-2pc-...-calipers.html
