Default Raining Outside, Leaking Inside in Zip 32179

2002, Hard top is removeable, rubber going around the window is not sealing correctly. Dealer states they do make or replace. I have already had to replace the door lock mechanism due to moisture trapped with in door casing. Is there a way of replacing the rubber around the top.

Assuming you have a coupe, with the removable targa top, yes the weatherstrips are replaceable. There are two weatherstrips along the sides of the top. The front and rear weatherstrips are attached to the vehicle around the windshield and behind the drivers and passengers head.

You can order the weatherstrips from places like Corvette America and Ecklers.

I would take your car to someone that will check it and replace the weatherstrips if you need them.

Most of the time if it's a side glass, the window can be readjusted, that will compensate for the seal crushing over time.

Almost every older car I buy needs to have the side windows adjusted to make a complete seal.

All it takes is to remove the door panel, then move the front or rear or both window (up) stops.

The stops limit the height of the side windows, as little as moving them 1/8" or 1/4" usually does the job and is a lot cheaper than weatherstripping.
