I have a stock 02 convertible that I'm thinking about picking up a set of the ZO6 titanium mufflers and putting them on. How much better do these flow and will i need to get a retune done because of them? There is nothing wrong with my pipes now I just want a little better sound but not the real loud pipes some of the guys run around here. Man I sound like my dad when I was young.
I've had Z06 Ti's on my '01 convertible for about 10 years now. The sound is slightly lower in tone, and somewhat more aggressive, at idle. At wide open throttle they really come alive!
At highway cruising speeds, they are just slightly louder than stock C5 mufflers, but without any annoying drone or resonance.
They do flow better than stock mufflers, and the pair weighs about 21 pounds less than the stock C5 catback system. The round tips look much better, in my opinion, than the stock oval tips on your '02.
Z06 Ti's make a nice bolt-on improvement to any stock C5.

I replaced the Quad-Tip Borla Stingers my '02 Coupe had when I bought it with Z06 Ti's. What a difference! Nice aggressive sound, but not too loud; and ZERO drone at cruising speed. It'll sound great with the top down on your 'vert.
