I can tell you this, if you focus on the gap it's disappointing (stock) fenders, hood, doors included
I know.. its not good to begin with but I think these guys got in over their heads on it. Just my luck I suppose I just need a good overhead pic so I can show them what it should look like... right now with the lights down you couldn't slide a piece of paper between it and the bumper. I've tried all day ro find a good pic of one and had no luck
There was a newbie post not to long ago with a picture of his red C5 and had a very good overhead shot of the front end. I even thought that the headlight gapping was excellent for an older model. I can't find that thread. If I get a chance today I'll uncover my car and try to get you picture. I think mine are "acceptable", but honestly as the post above says, excellent gap seams on the C5's vary from car to car

The head light assemblies on my 98 have been completely removed on both sides one time to install Radioflyers ACA HID's in 2013, and the passenger side was replaced under warranty about 10 years ago. The hood and front fascia have never been removed.
PM your email address and I'll send you a few more pictures.
Maybe I misunderstood your original post, but if only one side was taken apart, why can't they look at the other side for guidance?
I had to adjust my RF after taking the headlight assembly all apart for a new metal gear (did the same thing on the LF, but it did not need adjusting when done, gaps were fine).
I can tell you it was a PITA and took about 45 minutes of playing around to get it right , but it is now just like the LF.
sorry I wasn't real clear on it but the wheelhouse on both sides and front bumper were replaced thanks to a deer...
Give them a copy or show them the pic I attached as a reference for what it should look like when properly done. A good body shop should be able to reasonably line up fenders, hood, front fascia and headlamp assemblies to an acceptable appearance.
