SHOULD I INSTALL A SHIFT KIT
The time is approaching for my 3.42 upgrade. Because I don't take my car to the strip and just want the added throttle response around town, I am not going to install a TC. I do have a Hypertech Plus for adjusting shift firmness but I would also like quicker shifts from my A4 and reduce the "lag" when manually going through the gears. Will a shift kit help with quicker shifts and is there one available for the C5?

I have read some threads and gotten emails saying there is a relationship between shift kits and blown trannies. The biggest reason I want a shift kit is for crisper shifts without hesitation. The firmer shifts are already there via the programmer. I wonder if the slight lag on a manual downshift or full throttle upshift is to protect the tranny from damage.
For around $100.00....it almost seems like a bargain mod for an A4 but like most things its :confused: . Keep the opinions and advice coming. :yesnod:
