If you are questioning can something with a cigarette light adapter be plugged into a C5's lighter then the answer is yes, it's universal

Replacement sockets are available at chain parts stores but they are a universal design. The only possible issue would be the wire connector. You may have to cut the existing connector off the wire and use something that fits the replacement. The physical size of the lighter socket is universal.

Great, thanks. I'll check the price for OEM & universal. I'm tired of paying big prices for GM parts from 3rd world countries.

Exactly, they are not universal. They have the same diameter but based on application some are short or long. The C5 is a short style.

Thanks guys. vettenuts didn't show any and they are not universal for the connection. After shopping the net, I checked with the Chevy dealer and I can get it all with the lighter for $20 less 10% and I'll have one made for it.

When buying over the counter at the dealer, ask for a DIY discount and tell them dealers are doing it. I got 20% off a $100 part.
