Default power seat binds

Installed C&S rocking seat fix. Seat doesn't rock, but it binds moving forward and back. Up and down is fine. Followed video, checked transmision connectors they are fine. I did not grease blocks. Any suggestions? I have taken it apart 3 times. Don't want to damage motors.

There is just one motor for forward and back. If it worked before you did the work I guess you did something wrong or Murphy is at work. Might want to remove the seat and jumper power across the motor and see if you can figure it out. Maybe binding from not setting it up the same as it was. Sorry I can't provide the silver bullet.

Will it move OK if you are NOT sitting in it?

I am going to take it apart again and lube it up and make sure the locating blocks are perfect. There is a step where you are supposed to grind and tap out a rivet. That thing was in there. I ended up having to drill it. I an worried the seat track might have bent during the process.

Sounds like the left and right worm (threaded rods) are not in sync - even 1/2 a turn off could cause this. I'd start there and run the seat on the bench prior to totally reassembly.

Lyle, the guy on the C&S video is located in Sarasota - at C&S Corvette. Great guy - I don't think he would mind a call at his shop if you need further help.

Gonna try to run tracks on bench in morning. I can't help think pounding that rivet might have bent the track.

Lyle will be in on Monday. If I can't get it I will call him. C&S was great on the phone and offered to interrupt his vacation. I am going to give it one more try before calling.

I don't recall having to hammer in a rivet when I did mine. Drilled out the rivet and replaced with a small bolt.

That rivet was in there like a hair in a biscuit. Ground top off. punched and it just bent the inner track. Bent it back and drilled. Once drilled I was Finally was able to pry the head out with a chisel. It was in so hard I thought the head was welded. Once out, everything went as advertised.

Mine binds as well when it gets near the front of the travel. I'm wondering if the steel washer spacer is limiting the up and down movement of the ball screw. I haven't had a chance to pull it out and look into it.
