Default OBD II splitter issue and another issue

hello guys , happy and healthy new year to all , I had bought an OBD II splitter so I can use my 2 PLX gauges (a whole other issue why a PLX cant "daisy chain" the info and show it on 2 gauges, been waiting 2 months for their tech dept to give me an answer as to how to do this) , anyway , I figured I would just get an OBD II splitter and do it that way I mean the sensor units and gauge heads , and CPU shouldnt know there is a splitter ..... WRONG , at idle one gauge read 1500 rpm the other 8500 rpm and then it stalled , never stalled before , tightened everything up , tried it once again , and same results , so before I blew something up I disconnected everything and made sure everything was still intact and thank God it was , anyone ever heard of this ... split OBD data gauges reading different and the CPU apparently "getting" input and stalling the car ,

the other tech question ... I want to run my car at texas (or another ) mile or 1/2 mile ) about 700+ HP under hood 606 HP at wheels Supercharged 2004 Z06 (also NO2 injected but wont use this for mile runs) anyway , I have a parachute mounted , mostly for shows at this point but it is functional , my question is if I ever use it , or you guys that do use them at Texas mile ( I saw rules that say > 150 MPH which I will definitely be able to do ) do you disconnect the air bags , is it even possible , I have my own reasons for asking and of course full race vehicle dont have airbags (yet) , was just wondering if the sudden deceleration might be enough to set them off ( i am aware of how they are "supposed" to be activated but I have seen air bags go off for trivial contact and i dont want to be punched in the face while I am going over 150MPH :-) , i mean airbag go off for sudden linear decel of > 16mph which this may simulate , just asking , thanks for any help anyone can offer on either or both questions, thanks
Paul

I use an OBD2 splitter without any trouble, although with only one scan gauge. I suspect the problem is with the gauges and not the splitter itself. Can't help there.

For the airbags, just pull the fuse in the passenger foot well fuse block. I think it is #16. If you want to be extra careful, disconnect the battery for a minute first so that there is no chance an airbag will go off when you pull the fuse.

Impedance with both hooked up most likely your issue.

I'm running twin Aeroforce Interceptors. They come with a splitter and I have had no problems. Can you try one gauge at a time and see if perhaps one is bad?

The OBDII problem you describe is a device problem, and probably why they don't daisy chain those particular devices. Some devices don't play nice with each other on the network.

Fundamentally, the ECM responds to commands on the network, ask it to run the engine and respond to too many monitoring or conflicting commands and something has too give.

Certain devices are extremely dominant on the OBDII network, that is to say they create a tremendous amount of data traffic, making it difficult for other devices to interact.

thanks guys for the responses, I was sure it was something along those lines ... after I had my Z stall twice !! I did not know there was 2 ways communications I thought being they are GAUGES all they did was monitor what was going on , anyway I will leave it disconnected and use only the one PLX with 4 parameters being monitored , and I will use the other (both are in an A pillar mount) with a stand alone A/F ratio sender , thanks again
