Default My New C5 came with some Codes

I purchased this '04 C5 yesterday, and this is quite an upgrade from my 75.

but it did come with a few codes that need fixen, here's the list.

28-TCS
C1221 H LF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0
C1222 H RF Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal is 0
C1248 H
C1276 H Delivered Torque Signal CKT Malfunction
C1278 H Requested Torque Signal CKT Malfunction
C1281 H Steering Sensor Uncorrelated Malfunction
C1287 H Steering Sensor Rate Malfunction
C1288 H Steering Sensor Circuit Malfunction

38-RTD
C0615 H Left Front Position Sensor Malfunction

99-HVAC
R0367 H Right Actuator Feedback Open

A0-LDCM
B2282 H Battery #1 Fault
B2286 H +5V Reference Fault
B2284 H Battery #2 Fault
B2262 H Horizontal Position Sensor Fit
B2264 H Vertical Position Sensor Fault
U1255 H Serial Data Line Malfunction
U1064 H Loss of Communications with BCM
U1016 H Normal software function, history status upon ignition cycling
U1096 H Loss of Communications with IPC

A1-RDCM
B2239 H Right Door Un-Lock Switch Fault
B2283 H Battery #1 Fault
B2287 H +5V Reference Fault
B2285 H Battery #2 Fault
B2263 H Horizontal Position Sensor Fit
B2265 H Horizontal Position Sensor Fault
U1255 H Serial Data Line Malfunction
U1069 H
U1016 H Normal software function, history status upon ignition cycling
U1096 H Loss of Communications with IPC

B0-RFA
C2100 H C Left Front TPM Sensor Malfunction
C2105 H C Right Front TPM Sensor Malfunction
C2110 H C Right Rear TPM Sensor Malfunction
C2115 H C Left Rear TPM Sensor Malfunction

I cleared all the codes and went for a drive, did a 3 mile loop.
One thing i noticed was at the 3rd stop light,
the brakes did a weird shudder feeling at the start of pressing the pedal,
and the TCS warning light came on the dash,
it didn't do that anymore but the brakes seemed touchy and the light stayed on.
I got these codes now.

28-TCS
C1287 H C Steering Sensor Rate Malfunction
C1288 H C Steering Sensor Circuit Malfunction

38-RTD
C0615 H Left Front Position Sensor Malfunction

I have a feeling i need a steering wheel positioning sensor.
What else can you tell me that i'll need to repair.

All the C(urrent) ones look like your Tire pressure monitors are dead/missing or need to be reprogrammed. Clear all your codes thru the DIC are see what returns first. And yes the SWPS looks to be sick too.

That should be the first thing you do.

Ok, i've ordered the steering sensor, and while checking the column i found that wasn't telescoping, is that something i can fix while i have the column out?

I've also ordered the pass side window motor and regulator,

I also found that the rear window defroster wire was broken on one side.
the other side was fine, does it need both wires to work?

I cleared the codes and the TPM errors haven't come back yet,
i also checked and they are the right valves but could be dead.
i'll wait till i replace the steering sensor and then continue,

I finally got my sensor in, and now there are No Codes!!!
the brakes and traction control are working great again.
it took me about 5 hours and i'm pretty slow,
I also couldn't take it out completely because of the bar below the steering column.
i was able to move the column back far enough to get the old one off and the new one on.
I accessed the steering knuckle by going thru the wheelwell access panel, that made it much easier then from above, it also gave me a chance to empty the weepers.
I reset all the codes then went for a 10 mile cruise, everything worked great and no codes came up at all.

This car causes Perma-grin.

Great news. If I were working 5 hours like that I'm not sure I would be able to get out of bed the next morning.

Well, just to clarify, it was 2 hrs sunday, 1 hr monday, 2 hours tuesday, and another on thursday.
I just don't have the patience or the flexibility anymore.
I was doing this in my driveway, and a few times, the people walking their dogs would stop and ask if i was ok,
because they'd find me sprawled out on the the ground not moving, usually just after un-pretezeling myself from under the dash.

Taking the drivers seat out for this makes it a LOT easier, you can get the seat out in 10 minutes.

If i had taken the seat out, that would've started a whole other project i need to do.
The last guy did a really shoddy job of putting these seats in.

Everything has been running great and i still haven't seen any more codes.

However, I was going through all the buttons on the DIC, and when it came to the tire pressure, they were all blank, no psi listed.
What would cause this?

You may have overlooked this from your owners manual:

"Tire pressure is not available until the vehicle has
reached a speed of 15 mph (24 km/h) or more."

This is to extend battery life.

So they only work while driving?
