Re: Codes.. more and more codes.. O2 Sims???` (Travis99C5)
I have the FLP's with cats but had to run the O2 sims for a short while 'til I could get the harness extensions for the front O2 sensors. I never got codes with the sims.
You did bypass the FRONT O2 sensors with the sims and not the rear, correct?
Re: Codes.. more and more codes.. O2 Sims???` (Patches)
I have a very similar set-up to yours and keep getting a P0133 code (different bank but same problem). I wrote Mitch at FLP and he said just replace the O2 sensors. I'm not really happy with that answer, and judging from the threads I've seen on the subject, it doesn't seem like just an O2 sensor problem. I'm getting High flow cats put back on and having the exhaust checked for leaks Fri. I'm hoping the code has something to do with not having cats. If I find out anything concrete I'll let you know. BTW, How long have you had the cats off?? :seeya

The sims go on the rear.. because I have no cats, and it has to "simulate" that the cats are working. The Fronts are the workhorses. (From my understanding, the rears do nothing but check how the cats are working. The Fronts actually read the fuel rich/lean.
Never am going to put the CATS on..
Oh.. and I think because of that.. I get this residue on the back of my when I drive hard. :( Its clean able.. just nasty.
Bad 02 Simulator... I was throwing both the P0140 and P0160 which came out to be bad 02 Sims.. I took them back to have them replaced, and ever since, no check engine light and before I was averaging 23mph, now it's 25.6mpg.. Some say the rear 02's do nothing to performance, I beg to differ.. She runs smoother and wouldn't be suprised if it puts down more power, sure feels like it!

Different bank, different sensor and different problem.
The PCM continuously monitors the left front O2 sensor activity for 100 seconds. During the monitor period, the PCM counts the number of times that the O2 sensor responds from rich to lean, adds the amount of time it took to complete all transitions and determines the average time for all transitions. If the average time is too slow, PO133 sets. An O2 sensor that responds too slowly is most likely defective. Replace the O2 sensor.
