Default Header flange flatness.

What would most consider to be too far off from flat? My new Texas Speed headers are about. 040" high on one and .060" on the other in the middle.
I found a post where Kooks said. 040" is normal, no problem.

I can tell you that GM MLS gaskets wouldn't seal my XSPower headers that I could fit a .038 feeler gauge between the flange and a straight edge.

Maybe try the Percy's Dead soft aluminum crush gaskets

Summit has them for 32.95 and you can order them through Advance Auto for 29.95

Default Doesn't sound too promising

I think I'll try and do some flattening before I go to the work of trying to install, regardless of gasket, and find out it leaks, then have to pull them out, then flatten... Borrowing a HD c-clamp from the shop for tonight/this week after work.
If I can't do it myself, I do work in a steel shop, somebody here can do it for me. Thanks guys, very much appreciated. Will look into the Percy gaskets if needed still.
