I received my new filter yesterday and though I have not been able to dyno it yet, that will happen next week, I can feel the difference. I will be really surprised if I don't have a 10 RWTQ gain. It pulls harder now. Way to go Patrick.

Ditto what 'The DBK' said. What filter did you have and what did you switch to? I've currently got the foam 'race' filter in my setup... Is there a newer one?
The filter I first received was for a non-built motor. The one Patrick made is for a built motor. I don't know the details but it increases the amount of air and pressure. I will post the dyno results as soon as I get it done.
Cheers

That "race" filter looks kinda scary to me. It looks like it might let a little more than air through. If you hold it up to the sun, you can see an aweful lot of light.
Weird - as my filter was "stuck" to the plastic - hence I thought it was oiled..
Humm - I will check on it tonight..
If not - I will go to the motorcycle shop tomorrow and buy some PJ1 or Bel Ray Filter Lubricant... This stuff is made for dirt bikes that ride through mud and the worst of dust clouds - so I think it will do a good job on the streets..
No problem. I am going over today and if we have time, I will do it tonight. I need to bleed my clutch and brakes from the session at the track.
