I have been having this problem with the whistle on my 99. My dealer has replaced the intake 2 times. I noticed that the part number they are using does not match the TSB. They are using part # 88894095 the TSB shows 88894339. Is it possible they are replacing it with the wrong one. Does anyone know the part number for the origional intake? Also is it possible that it is not in the intake and possibly the belt tensioner or a pulley? I am getting really fustrated with this sound at 2000 to 2400 rpm with a load on it. It appears to be be getting loader every day. :mad
Let me ad that before all this started I had an oil pump go out and did not run the car for very long maybe 30 seconds or so is it possible it is internal? I just want it fixed.
I have this same "problem" with my 2000. I have a Donaldson and mine and my fathers 99 and 01. They all whistle, I am guessing that it is just sucking alot of air.
