Default Window Regulator Quality Advice

Does anyone know if there is any real difference in the quality of GM window regulators, wherever manufactured? I've got to replace the regulator on my driver's side. Viewed the usual videos and it doesn't look hard. However one video implies that only the GM regulators made in Mexico (ironic isn't it?) are of any quality. Found similar comments in a couple of online threads. This doesn't make sense to me because it seems to me that every GM labeled regulator will meet GM spec. Sounds to me like a scare tactic but before I invest the $150 and time I'd appreciate any intelligent comments.

I never considered the part critical, and just bought a rebuilt motor from autozone. I don't remember the source country . Looked to be the same, and has worked without issue.

I selected it only because the store was close to the house. I liked that the part came with a lifetime warrantee, I probably should have kept the receipt.

I bought a new one from Northern Auto parts. It looked just like the original and has worked for 2 years. Price was OK too.

Just an update. The part I ordered from Amazon turned out to be made in Mexico. Increases my suspicions that the Internet warnings were just scare tactics designed to make you buy from the posting vendors.
