Unless you are getting knock or pinging, they are useless.

I was told by a local dealer who is very experienced in working on C5's not to add ANYTHING to the fuel system. (Bruce Brown, Village Chev)

The only one that works is Turbo 108.

If I don't use it, my car runs like crap.

Put in one bottle of Turbo 108 per tankful and feel the power!

What is the octane gain for 1 bottle in 18 gallons of gas?

I usually add a can of NOS octane boost, it will increase your octane rating by about 1%.

Unless you need it (like Califonia 91 octane-highest at pump) don't waste your money. These cars run best with 92-93 octane. The quality of the fuel is more important, and fuel has both a shelf life, and summer & winter blends.

If you are hearing a slight ping, go to Amoco and try a few tanks of the high octane. Another cure for the summer pings is a lower thermo with fans kicking on earlier.

I run the NOS Race Formula Octane Boost if I am going to be heading to the track to beat on the car real hard for a day.. I figure with an 11.5 CR that it never hurts to have a bit of extra octane.

I often wonder how well octane boost gets distributed amongst the two tanks of a c5 though. You pour it in when the tank is empty and it ALL goes into the driver side tank. If you pour it in when its full, it all goes into the passenger side tank. Any ideas?
