I drove my Dads 99 6 speed today and noticed that his clutch peddle is alot harder to push in then mine. Is there something I can do to make mine stiffer? Does bleeding the clutch help with this at all? Thanks, Kaley
What year is your car and what are the miles on both of them. I just put in a high performance clutch and the pedal pressure is easier than the stock clutch.
My dads is a 99 Coupe with about 13000 miles and I have a 2000 Hardtop with about 30000. I like the feeling of the stiffer clutch and I would like my car to feel like that.
Bleeding the clutch will get any air out of the fluid. The pedal should not feel mushy, if it is mushy you need to bleed the clutch. Your pedal and your fathers should be very smooth and go down and come back up without much effort. The difference in feel can be because of hydrolics and the way it was put in at the factory. Every car is different. If one of the pedals is mushy, you have a problem but if not than its just a different feel because they are different cars with different amounts of ware on the whole assembly.
