Default Another MGW Question

I have been reading the posts regarding the MGW short throw shifter. Not a lot of current posts though.
I would like to get one for my 2003. Many of the posts mention the anti-venom kit. What is this and how do I get it and install it? I understand it makes for a smoother shift.
Many times when the car sits for a few days I can't get it into 1st or reverse unless I massage it.

Here is a DIY done by Togue.

http://www.toquez06.com/avm.html

It explains the procedure step by step. It will take the notchy feel out of short shifters, but I doubt it will solve the getting it into gear issue. Something you may try is to put it into 3rd and then go to 1st or reverse.

Thanks. How in the world do you get at that? Or is it accessible when you take the shifter out. I am by no means a mechanic but I saw the video on installing the shifter and it looked pretty easy.
Were do you buy that washer/

I did the mod and didn't make any difference on my stock shifter. I was told that it may have been because it was a stock shifter maybe it only works on after market shifter, not sure. U have to access this detent device from under the car, it is on the passenger side of the transmission. I got the washers from Advance auto parts but U can get them from any of the parts stores. Good luck
