Stock '03 Z06: Plug Wire Shields Needed?
I've done some searching and I suspect I'll get a lot of different answers...but are these needed?
tl;dr is that I buggered up about 1/2 of mine getting the original plug wires out - what a pain. Trying to decide if I find a set of original shields, use an aftermarket solution like Koolsox, or just go without.

Experts will hopefully chime in, but I think I'll be re-installing mine with my header install. And yes, my plug wires were also a major, major pain to remove. Never had such a hard time pulling plug wires.
