Steering column lock question
I read a post here of a guy that said his column locked while he was in a low speed turn. This was the first I'd ever heard of this happening.
Now my question: is this curable by the lcm5?
The OP said he had the pin(lock)in his column ground down; was this a good idea or not?

I am m6 with LTs and vararam.
I had the opportunity to take the vette for about a 100 mile round trip but I thought about the column locking up on me and took a different car, which also deserved an outing.
I do plan to get the lcm5.

It has never locked on me. I have started get the"pull key, wait 10 seconds" notification occasionally and I'd hate to get stuck somewhere when I have a pending appointment, like picking up my kids at school or something.

with LMC you can turn wheel with or without key so you don't have the theft protection of locked column if that is what you want. I have the LMC in my 03Z as any thief who wants your car will find a way no matter what you do.

Wheel turns without key which is okay as mentioned by LT1driver.
8VETTE7, per your comments I will order and have installed he lmc5 since I get the buzzzzt when I turn the key on, along with the chime.
