I was wondering if it was possible to take a vortex, and cut circular holes out in the sides or it and attach some type of vacume hose to the fog light areas and somehow seal that? I was thinking like a vacume attachment for carper would fit squarely ofer the hole from behind with some type of gasket and adhesive. Would this add to the plain vortex or would it take away from it? just curious. Any comments or thoughs are more than welcome.

Re: MAKING A VORTEX-VARARAM COMBO??????POSSIBLE? (ncvetteman)
You would be defeating the purpose of the Vortex and its placement over the high pressure area. Actually air pressure from the underside would push through and reverse the air out the front fog grills.

We will have our system there to do the tuning but the only problem is that we are not allowed to pull our dyno out of the trailer due to the fact that they have another dyno there. We would be able to hook up the autotap and take a few runs outside then recheck them and do the adjustment if needed. Please call me to go over this in detail.

Not if you do not cut the shroud and seal the Vortex to the shroud :yesnod:

What good is the Vortex if the shroud isn't cut under it to allow air flow?
You could seal the Vortex box to the shroud (as I did) then cut 4' round holes in the side of the vortex box and run 4" tubes to the front foglight area..
In fact this is exactly what the Vararam guys did - I just bought one and it is exactly like what Sean and I did.. :smash:

I did something similar with my blackwing on my 01 vert (since traded in). I did notice a little difference with the mod. I cut 4 inch circles into the srhoud next to the blackwing on both sides. Then I ran 4 inch air tubing from the blackwing to underneath the car.
