Default Starter and ground wiring question ?

I dropped my starter and removed the passenger side ground bolt in order to install headers.

However, like a moron, I lost track of placement for a couple of wires. I know the thick red and orange wires go to the main starter post, and I know the small redish one coming from the bundle crossing from the fender (with a ribbed plastic sheath) attaches to the small post with the 8mm nut.

I have 3 remaining black wires, do they all go to the ground bolt on the block ? I am thinking 1 of them may go to the starter. Did I mention I am an idiot ?

Three red to large post (two large, one small)
Purple to small post
Two grounds to engine block

NO grounds go to starter......

Can't help ya on the "third" black wire (presumably a Ground) unless it's the one that attaches to the stud on top of the frame rail in the area.

Note: one of the smaller wires that at first may appear to be "black" because of it's color at the end, may actually be the fusible link wire seen in the photo. Follow it back further up far enough and you'll see it's actually red, like the two large wires (cables).

bumping this, anyone know what the smaller red wire on the starter goes to? i'm doing some rewiring and trying to identify it. I know one large goes to batter, one from the alternator. what's the 3rd powering?
