Okay, I know this subject has come up many times on many threads and believe me I've read most of them. The problem: I purchased my '02 Z06 out of state a couple of months ago so don't know the history of past problems or repairs, so any way, I was driving on a sunny day when suddenly the windshield wipers came on and would not stop. I tried moving the lever, twisting the delay ****, pushing the washer button all to no avail. After several miles of wiping, they stopped just as suddenly and went to the parked position. No other problems the rest of the day. Next morning, as soon as I started the car the wipers came on again and would not stop until I shut the ignition off. I had an idea it might be the wiper pulse module as I had replaced several previously on GM trucks with the same symptoms. I got on the Forum here and after several threads my suspicions were confirmed; replace the wiper motor or module. A Cardone reman motor with module was cheaper than just a new Delco module, so I went with the reman motor. After replacing the motor I turned the key and the wiper motor started running and wouldn't stop until the key was turned off. So now what? I'm usually not one to start throwing parts at a problem, but, I felt sure the motor was the problem. Any ideas?

Maybe your car is haunted. Most likely the motor needs to be replaced.
Since you have a 2002 Z are you aware of the valve springs problem?
Yeh, I thought about the reman motor being bad, but wondered if there was something else that might be causing this before I took it back. Yes, thank you on the springs. The seller said the cam and springs had been recently changed. It definitely has a lope to it and sure pulls strong.

Hi guys,
Sounds like an issue with the grounding to the board or it could also be the switch. Double check the ground wires and the switch. Hope this helps.
When I first got the car the windshield wipers didn't work. I bought the car in California and my wife and I drove it home to Tulsa. Upon doing some research found the fuse was missing. Put a fuse in and the wipers worked and washers wouldn't stop. Pulled the fuse and found the washer button stuck in. On line search showed how to use a Bic lighter flint spring cut down would fit. It worked for about two weeks then the mysterious phantom wiper woes started. I will probably buy a new switch and try that next. Like I said previously, I usually don't just throwing parts at something to fix it, but don't know if something else besides the springs were missing in the wiper stalk.
you can just put a piece of plastic between the contacts inside the washer button location on the stalk and it will stop. Of course you won't have the washer function but the wipers will work and they won't be running all the time.
Yeh, that's what I did for about two weeks with little contact separating strips sticking out. It was a great conversation piece. Before I spend the bucks for the new switch, does anyone know if there is anything behind the washer button besides the two little springs?
I am having issues with mine stopping on the windshield when I turn them off. I found a thread yesterday showing how to calibrate the wipers. He cautioned when adjusting not to go to far or the wipers will start working even though they are turned off. Sounds like they are out of calibration.
