They CAN go bad like any other sensor. Try riching it up a little, reset and see if it goes away, if not you probably need a new sensor. The arent expensive, but you will have to remove your intake to get to it. Very easy as you probably allready know.
O2 went bad? I thought we were talking knock sensors :) Anyways the O2 sensor will rattle a little because of the collar where the wires come out of it. That doesnt mean its bad.
I haven't gotten the Knock Sensor code since I left Vegas on Thursday. But regardless, I'll making my journey to Tampa tomorrow (Monday). Hopefully, it'll be smooth sailing (fingers crossed). I do plan on giving her a thorough check up and tune up as soon as I settle into my new home.
