lmc5 bad?

lmc5 bad?
has anyone heard of a lmc5 going out? its been in the car since june 2012 with no problems at all. every thing else on car works and I have 0 codes (knock on wood) I went to take a drive and service column lock reared its ugly head and now I get the fuel shut off at 2.5 mph . my battery is 3 months old and has 12.8-12.9 volts cables are maybe 6 months old. I have a 1999 z51 6 speed that is always garaged and babied and problem free since 6/2012 clb should I try another lmc5?

The brown wire mod refers to an E series relay. If you don't have an extra wire that you capped off when you installed it then you need to call Richard at compliance Parts and get an LMC5 relay with that fourth wire. {not counting the ground wire} Here is Richard's # 1 855 565 8388.

I'm thinking I may have failed to wait the five seconds or whatever time I was supposed to wait before starting the motor.
Should I check for the brown wire before I call Richard? I'm dpretty sure it was looped into the pack, though.
