After doing the install and finding I still need to check it due to repeated pull key...occurrences I am finding my remote(new a month or two ago)is dead. Absolutely dead.
I assume this is due to my removing the neg battery cable as instructed in the directions. Should this simple repair step cause my remote to stop functioning?
First, near the car, hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the remote at the same time until the horn honks. That will resync the remote to the car. If that fails, enter the DIC fob programming and follow the directions on the display. If you Google "C5 remote programming" you will get video instructions on how if you aren't familiar. This is provided the battery is still good in the fob.
Installation was correct. After speaking with Richard we decided at this point my reoccurence was probably due to a weak battery.
He made some suggestions which I will put into play and will keep him informed.
