Help relocating AC controls

Help relocating AC controls

Hi all. I need help relocating the AC control unit from the center console into the glove box. I am pretty much clueless to what's involved, but have seen it done and I know it's possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you should ask the people where you saw it done! Which control unit do you have the Digital one or the manual one?

I have the digital one. I have seen pictures of it done to members cars on here, but I don't remember who had it done.

Yes I saw this one and found another where someone has a picture of it in the glovebox, but nothing more.
How do you extend the wires? Are there any other vacuum lines or something else? Where do you reroute everything? How do you attach it in the glove box? Do you have to modify the glove box? Etc., etc.. These are the questions I am looking to get answered.
I know it can be done. I know what it looks like. And i know the wires need to be extended. Everything else is what I need help with.
Or maybe I will just tare into it and wing it along the way…….

I'd be interested in how the install above is working. A friend tried it and ended up not working. Lars's latest project is a LS2 swapped RX8, he is rather handy in this department.

Well, that is not exactly apples to apples, is it? He completely tried to "reinvent" the whole unit. I just want to move it about a foot to the right.

Look in the general fourm. First page post is relocating hvac controls to the ash tray location there are some pictures of them mounted in the glove box. You might chime in there.
