Default Good flow Numbers on these heads?

Intake @ 0.6 lift BEFORE 227 AFTER 310 DIFF 83 EXHAUST @ 0.6 Lift BEFORE 189 AFTER 225 DIFF 36 Ls1 stock valves no swirl bump tested at 28" on superflow bench at 72 degrees.

I think they are from a 99 F-body, thats not a problem, right?

The flow #s look ok - and yes FBody heads are the same as ours (Ls1 & Ls6)

Who ported them?

The flow numbers are just ok? They were done by elliots portwork, in the Keller Texas area I believe. Not sure, but they do a lot of the works for shops around there like J&J Motorsports?

1999 and newer use center bolt valve covers with the coils mounted to a bracket. 1997-98 uses perimiter bolt valve covers with the coils mounted directly to it.

At a minimum you'll need the newer valve covers and coil mounting brackets to use these heads on your 98.

For what its worth, those flow numbers dont tell us a lot. I'd like to see to see .100 to .600 in .1 increments.

I'll be an idiot and jump in hear. If they removed the swirl "bump" that's a bad thing, it's there for a reason and many high flow/high velocity head porters keep them (or most of it) and still get excellent flow from the heads. IMHO the biggest thing to look at in a ported cylinder head is velocity, especially at lower lift ranges. Ideally, you would have almost a totally restrictive non flowing head at idle, and have it proportionately flow better up to the maximum lift of the cam, and also the maximum of what the engine can handle (a .890 cam is useless on a stock ci LS1). If the head flows great numbers at .600 of lift, that's great with a .600 cam, but what about a smaller cam, and also remember that to take advantage of great flow at .600 you will most likely need a .615-.630 cam to take full advantage of it.
Anywho, I am rambling on here. I think it's impossible to tell if a head is good or bad just by flow numbers. Also, I would definately go with a head that's been ported by someone who knows what they are doing with the LS1, which is totally different from old SBC's.
Best of luck.
