Column locked when I was backing up!!!!!!
I have be having problems with my column lock for the last week. Everytime it locked I could get it unlocked, but this time it was diffrent. I was backing up out of my girlfriend driveway and the column locked up and the car stalled!!!!! :confused: :mad I was moving...I rolled in the grass. I really think that this is getting very dangerous! If i was in the road I could have hit a car, or have been hit. When I called GM they told me that the recall is only on 98's. They opened a file and said that the engineers look at the files If more people open files they could change the recall to inclued more years.

GM won't do anything until 10's or 100's of people die from this... until then it's cheaper to put people through red tape... :rolleyes:

The same thing happened to me but the car didnt stall I wrote chevys CEO and sent the letter return request. Then some women from there Detroit office called me and in a round about way told me tough the car is mine have chevy fix it and pay for it out of my own pocket. This is bullcrap anyone having this problem should do the same thing and write these buttwipes we should try to get a class action law suite against them. I mentioned to her what will it take someone plowing into a tree at 55mph
and getting killed she once again stated go to chevy and have them fix it and pay for it out of my pocket if I feel the car is unsafe BULLCRAP!!!!!
There is a real problem with these cars and they should fix everyone of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any attorneys out there on the forum who are willing to try to fight these buttwipes. By the way my car is a 98 and they say it does not fall into there parameters to be fixed under the recall!!!!!!!!!HORSECRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
