Thunder Cam or G2 Cam???
Well it has come down to two cams that I have heard a great deal about...I have a '98 A4 and want something that sounds bad axxxx as well as pulls pretty good...I don't have the specs on the G2 cam other than the LSA being 114 but here are the specs for the Thunder Cam I'm looking at:
224/224 .561/.561 114 LSA
So let me know what yall think and try not to BASH too hard :smash: . I need to know the good as well as the bad if I'm gonna be putting something in my baby!

I wish Thunder Racing was a sponsor on this board, but you can't deny they are making huge numbers and seem to have the tuning down also. Their cam and some GTP heads seem to be one of the best combos going. Of coarse Cartek is not a bad choice either. :cheers:

I am very interested in the G5 camas an upgrade for my car which alreadys has cartek stage II heads and 222/226, .567 lift and 113 lsa cam. I like a radical lopey cam and don't mind idle hunting when warming up as long as i don't stall on the street and at stop signs. WIth tuning, is the G5 doable in a A4? I also sent you an email on this and look forward to your replies. How much rwhp do you think i can pick up if any, by just swapping the G5 cam with my current set up.

The duration and lift your looking at should give you a lopey idle IMHO, if your looking for that bad butt lumpy and grumble idle I would move up to a 229/566/114 maybe even a 112 lsa.
