gear change ??
thinking about changing the gears in the diff and reading the manual it appears to be quite a job removing it. is this a job for a home mechanic or best to pay a pro?

rebuilding it yourself will cost about as much as having someone else rebuild it due to the price of the tool set. However, then you know how to do it again and have the tool set already handy, so it would be a lot cheaper the second time around. It's not something I would recommend for a novice, so you can decide depending on your experience.

I think he's asking about removing it not changing the gears himself is how I am reading it..OP it's pretty easy to remove it. I just did my whole drivetrain myself on jackstands and 1 tranny jack it's pretty simple.. a few how to's on it. let me know if you cant find them
