It just goes to show that there may be some inaccurate information out there, but I'm sure it is given with the best of intensions.
From an artical by Hib Halverson, he says that the front stabilizer bar in the Z06 is 1.181" which is 0.055" greater in diameter than the Z51 front bar. Both the Z06 and the Z51 suspension use Sachs shocks, but they are different. The Z06 has increased low velocity damping (like in body roll) at all four corners, which firms up the ride a bit and improves the Z06's front suspension's response in quick lane changes or autocross chicanes.
At the rear the high velocity compression damping of the shocks was decreased and the rebound damping increased to improve wheel control, and because the rear spring in the Z06 has a 10% higher spring rate than the Z51 suspension. The rear Z06 suspension also has a half inch more wheel travel than the Z51 suspension.
All of this means that the Z06 suspension has better roll control, better rear wheel control, and an overall better suspension than the Z51 for agressive track driving. It is also a "total Package" engineered system, and that suspension together with the F1 Supercar Tires provides much better grip and handeling than the Z51 suspension and EMT Goodyears.
I hope this information helps to clear up some fo the confussion.
